One of Kendal Calling's most hotly anticipated acts are set to release their debut album shortly after the festival.

Blossoms, from Stockport, who are to headline the Calling Out stage in Friday July 28, will release their self-titled album on August 5.

The album follows the release of four critically acclaimed EPs, released over the past two years. The most recent release was February's 'At Most A Kiss'.

Taking their name from their local pub, Blossoms formed in 2013 out of five friends who all played in different bands previously.

The forthcoming self-titled album was recorded at Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios, produced by Rich Turvey and the band’s mentor, The Coral’s James Skelly.

Blossoms have just completed their biggest ever UK tour which included sold out shows at London’s Scala and Manchester’s Albert Hall.
