A BAND whose music has featured on a number of television shows will play in Ulverston in October.

Hungrytown, which features Vermont-based musicians Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson, will play Ulverston Sports Club on October 7.

The band has been touring internationally for fifteen years. This tour includes 43 dates and covers the US and the British Isles.

It comes in support of their latest album, 'Further West', which made it into the top ten on the American Folk DJ charts for two months in 2015, and onto 14 'Best of 2015' lists.

Hungrytown's music has appeared on numerous television programmes, including the Independent Film Channel's Portlandia, Comedy Central's The Daily Show, Netflix's Lady Dynamite, various documentaries and major sporting events ranging from NASCAR motor racing to Hockey Night in Canada.

'Further West' follows the relase of two previous successful albums.

Their eponymous debut was released in 2008 and their second 'Any Forgotten Thing' album followed three years later.

The band spend more than half of every year on the road, with a special focus on Europe, New Zealand and their home turf in the US.
