In celebration of the late, great David Bowie, The Laurel and Hardy Museum in Ulverston will be hosting a night dedicated to his music and image.

The night, on January 28, will feature Bowie makeovers and the hits from across the prolific musician’s extensive back catalogue.

“We hope people will feel moved to go the Full Bowie and dress-up to channel their favourite Bowie persona,” said organiser Zosia Wand.

“But we also have Ch Ch Ch Changing Rooms with professional hair and make up should people wish to vamp-up on arrival or switch through the night.

“The less flamboyant can just enjoy watching the transformations.”

There will be a Bowie Lookalike competition and also a complimentary Bowie cocktail and a two part quiz led by master of Bowie trivia John Hall.

“DJ Pete Balmer will be playing the best of Bowie’s music and those artists inspired by him,” added Ms Wand.

“There will be Major Tom space-hopper racing, free sweets and there may even be some covers of Bowie songs.”
