TWO top male voice choirs share the Kendal Town Hall stage on Saturday, September 9 (7.30pm) in what promises to be a terrific night to celebrate 25 years of town twinning.
Rinteln Male Voice Choir (Vereinigte Chore Rinteln) and K Shoes Male Voice Choir are United in Song in the anniversary twin town concert, which also includes two pieces performed by the Find Your Voice Singers. The all male octet was recently formed following a leaflet drop and social media campaign by K Shoes MVC advertising a six week course of one hour free singing lessons run by a local professional singing teacher, Tracie Penwarden.
The K Shoes MVC section of the United programme - under the baton of the choir's musical director Ian Allan - includes tunes such as Rhythm of Life by Cy Coleman, Bizet's Divine Brahma, We Rise Again by Leon Dubinsky, Billy Joel's And So It Goes and An American Trilogy penned by Mickey Newbury.
