NEXT on in the outstanding Lakeland Sinfonia Concert Society series is the Royal Northern Sinfonia, returning to Kendal Leisure Centre's Westmorland Hall on Saturday, March 17 (7.30pm) with an all Beethoven programme that opens with the German composer's 1801 Prometheus overture and finishes with his fourth symphony. The world class chamber orchestra's music director Lars Vogt - an accomplished concert pianist - will also be soloist performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto no 4 in G Major.

The final Lakeland Sinfonia Concert Society performance of the 2017/18 series comes on April 28, featuring the eminent BBC Philharmonic and cellist Leonard Elschenbroich with Elgar's masterful Cello Concerto in E Minor central to the programme.
