BACH'S St Matthew Passion is regarded by many as being one of the most profound and moving choral pieces ever written.
On Sunday, May 13 (7pm), Ian Jones and the acclaimed voices of Eversley Choir perform the monumental oratorio at Capernwray Hall, near Carnforth. Scored for double chorus and double orchestra, Stephen Newlove takes the part of the Evangelist and Ron Eadington is Jesus. Lucy Mellors, Sarah Jillian Cox, Jacob Clark and Charlie Murray are soloists with orchestra leaders Wendy Cann and Pam Redman.
Tickets at the door or from choir members.
