Brewery hosts international guests

KENDAL'S Brewery Arts Centre will boast an international flavour on Friday when it plays host to a group of musicians who fuse North African beats with French folk and gypsy rhythms.

Lo' Jo, a group of France-based musicians who fuse different genres to create an exciting and vibrant performance, are playing the town's Brewery Arts Centre and the gig is one of only two dates in the country.

Doors open at 8pm and tickets cost from £11.50. Box Office 01539-725133.

Home to Phnom Penh

Returned home to my flat in Phnom Penh yesterday. Seems like I have been away for ages, had a great trip to Thailand meeting up with a friend from Kendal who I been busy traveling in Australia and New Zealand. It was great to see her and also helped me appreciate many of the things I am experiencing. But it is difficult to explain Cambodia to other people who haven’t been here.
