SANTA and his reindeers stopped off in Grange-over-Sands at the weekend as locals gathered for the town’s 65th Christmas lights switch-on.
Carols and music from Flookburgh Brass Band set the tone for the party as families enjoyed a treasure hunt around the town – thanks to prize donations from 27 local businesses – and youngsters met Father Christmas.
More than 600 people watched Colin Milner, the retiring head teacher of Grange Primary School, switch-on the new LED lights, bought thanks to Grange Town Council and a donation from a town resident.
