NEXT on stage at Beetham’s Heron Theatre is Dean Taylor Productions’ The Actor’s Apology by John Cargill Thompson.
Adapted by Dean Taylor, the play - described as ‘a wickedly wry study of arrogance and insecurity’ - centres on 18th Century actor Frederick Cooke, who is summoned by his audience to explain and apologise for his onstage drunkeness during a portrayal of Shakespeare’s Richard III.
Performed tomorrow night (Friday, 7.30pm).
Box office 015395-64283.
