AMBLESIDE Players stage a three-night run of Bettine Manktelow’s comedy thriller The Murder Weekend over Easter.
Running at the Kelsick Centre from Thursday-Saturday (8pm) April 17-19, the intriguingly tangled comic mix tells of Livia, a romantic short story writer, and her husband Stan, who arrive at a country hotel for a Murder Mystery weekend. They are joined by Patsy and her husband Ashley, and Vi and Dorothy. Each receives an anonymous Murder Mystery game envelope. Someone has left extra notes for Patsy and Stan exposing Livia's and Ashley's illicit affair. Meanwhile, Shelley, the chambermaid, mysteriously disappears, and intrigue and suspicion deepens an uninvited guest arrives.
Tickets are available from Whittakers Newsagents, Ambleside, or online at www.amblesideplayers.co.uk.
