INTERNATIONALLY respected performance storyteller Ben Haggarty appears at Lancaster’s The Storey, tomorrow (Friday, 8pm) as part of Litfest’s events season.
Ben’s Mr Sandmann is not a show for the faint hearted, intense and challenging, it journeys through the ambivalent mythology of the ‘sandman,’ drawing upon urban legend, fairytale, myth and folklore. Ben - well known for his playful, physical and challenging performances of stories inspired by international fairytales, folk tales, myth and epic - is a much sought after teacher and director of storytellers and is artistic director of the legendary Crick Crack Club, England’s premier promoter and programmer of performance storytelling. He is also honorary professor of Storytelling at the Arts University of Berlin (UDK).
A Lancaster Arts City First Friday event, tickets are available at www.litfest.org.
