TWO talented ladies from the Settle area took on the might of the Tour de France when it cycled through Hawes for dramatic purposes - and will present the hilarious results in aid of the Hawes Church Restoration Fund on Wednesday, October 8 (7.30pm) at The Dales Countryside Museum.

Lippy Logic Rides Again features new, original comedy and drama written, produced and presented by Christine Hooley and Veronica Caperon.

Christine and Veronica, both from the Settle area, performed the show at The Grassington Festival Fringe and The Yorkshire Fringe in summer.

During the evening, the ladies will perform their 'encounter' with one of the world's greatest sporting events near Hawes. They also present their new piece Photographing Kites, which stirs up poignant family memories with both humour and acute observation of human emotion. To round the programme off they will deliver their new song with musical accompaniment to the unsuspecting public.

The theatrical pairing formed Lippy Logic last year when they couldn't find suitable comedy and drama sketches for women to perform. Undaunted, they just sat down and penned their own in a style pitched somewhere between Alan Bennett and Victoria Wood.

By day, Christine runs a village post office in the Yorkshire Dales and Veronica is a professional photographer and copywriter.

Tickets for the fabulous fundraiser are available from Crossleigh Stres, Austwick, on 015242-51415 or on 01969-666960.
