KIRKBIE Kendal School stage Chris D’Arienzo's acclaimed classic rock and jukebox musical Rock of Ages at the Brewery next week.

Built around great songs from the 1980s from acts such as Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Steve Perry, Poison and Europe, the multi-talented KK performers will really rock the Kendal arts centre from Tuesday-Friday, June 28-July 1 (7.30pm).

The school’s last musical performance of The Wiz was a real success for all involved and the students are once again excited about the forthcoming performances. Rebecca Pinder who plays Hertz in Rock of Ages says it's a fantastic show: "The cast is incredibly talented and will entertain throughout the production. There are some hilarious moments and some emotional ones which come together to form a truly brilliant musical.”

Bassist Alex Richards adds that the show really does rock: "This year we have got some great songs, performed by some even better musicians. Even if you come along just to hear the music, it’s definitely worth it.” Julia Wilson is the narrator throughout and she cannot wait for the show to start: “It has been an absolute joy to perform in this year’s show alongside a brilliant cast and talented musicians. Not only that, but Rock of Ages is a really great show, with a fabulously funny script intertwined with tear-jerking drama and a selection of classic 80s rock hits. What more could you wish for?”

Tickets are available from the Brewery box office on 01539-725133.
