BITING banter and side-splitting gags from Jo Caulfield should have the punters rolling in the isles for the first Keswick Comedy Festival.
Well-known for her jovial jaunts on television wise-crackers such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Have I Got News for You and Mock the Week, cutting edge Caulfield will be joined by other stand-ups Gavin Webster and Juliet Meyers for a show at Keswick Labour Club on Saturday, July 4, 8pm and 10.30pm.
Meanwhile, Friday’s (July 3, 8pm and 10.30pm) turn in the comedy spotlight goes to Ivan Brackenbury with his inept Hospital Radio Show plus Steve Day and Sally-Anne Hayward.
Courtesy of Bad Sheep (aka former TV producer Simon Meyers), the festival puts on further comic shows tonight and tomorrow at Keswick Rugby Club.
For further festival details and tickets log on to www.keswickcomedy.co.uk or call at the Square Orange on St John’s Street in Keswick.
