THE third concert in the eagerly-awaited Broughton Concerts Series is performed by the enigmatic Odyssey Trio, which features three world-class players: pianist, Anthony Hewitt, violinist, Ning Kam and cellist Miranda Harding.
The show in the beautifully refurbished Victory Hall, is the final performance of the Ulverston International Music Festival’s ‘out of season’ concert series.
The trio will perform Beethoven’s Piano Trio op 1, followed by Dvorak's Dumky Trio and Ravel Piano Trio.
Anthony is the Ulverston festival’s artistic director as well as an international concert pianist.
Miranda was a string finalist at the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition in 1991 and won the International Constantin Silvestri Competition in Romania with a performance of Elgar’s cello concerto.
Meanwhile, Singaporean violinist Ning has been impressing audiences and critics alike for several years with her flair, thrilling energy and control.
