Review: Richard Parks @ Kendal Mountain Festival

For me, this was a surprise event for more than one reason because I got to see inside Kendal College’s brilliant new auditorium The Box.

Richard is a totally inspirational guy not only because of his Wales rugby background, but because he decided to climb the highest summit on each continent and reach each pole for charity.

In seven months.

He said he was very nervous before the lecture but it didn’t show, and if you can survive that challenge I guess you can do anything!

What a top guy, really down-to-earth and very humble.

The good news as well was that the festival is donating 50 per cent of the ticket sales to his charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care.
