THE Knotted Project's Natalie Morrell and Simon McElligott's perform their latest work Chit Chat Chalk Show at the Brewery on Saturday, February 24.

The brilliantly devised piece is a joint effort along with Hawk Dance Theatre, an exciting contemporary dance company based in Manchester, directed by another hugely talented Kendal performer Josh Hawkins.

The clever, interactive, yet playful family show, delivers a powerful message about just how important it is for children to talk about their feelings.

They stage a couple of performances at noon and 3pm.

There is more must-see children's entertainment coming up at the Kendal arts centre with highly thought of writer and illustrator Nick Sharratt. Best known for illustrating the Jaqueline Wilson books, Nick brings his Big Draw-Along show to the Brewery on Saturday, April 14 (2pm), delivering a masterclass in how to create characters like Tracy Beaker.

Meanwhile, on the Brewery's theatre front next Wednesday, February 21 (8pm), is The Chef Show, which centres on father and son Abdul and Khalid on a particularly busy night in their restaurant. As they struggle to deal with all of the customers 'out front' and the staff in the kitchen they also have to decide on the future of the family business.

Written by Nick Ahad and directed by Stefan Escreet, the deliciously funny play features special guest chef Syed from the Eastern Balti, Kendal.
