KENDAL Windows on Art has been creative in the community once again.

The local arts charity has been busy working with the Riversiders Trust putting together an eyecatching Wish Catcher art installation, which is on show in the Kendal Library foyer throughout the festive season.

The Riversiders Trust provides creative opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and runs a social club for those over 18 years old on Tuesday evenings at Kendal Day Centre.

The group had drawn up a Wish List of creative activities that they wanted to explore. In response, a team of artists led by community artist Nicki Smith, including Donna Campbell, Adam Clarke and Pam Williamson, worked with the Riversiders social group through a series of creative workshops which led to the creation of the large-scale Wishcatcher art installation.

“The Riversiders explored lots of different art techniques with our artists, always with great enthusiasm," explained KWoA programme manager Nicki. "They are proud of the work they have created with us and excited to have this opportunity to showcase their creative talents in such a busy public space."
