THE Cornshed Sisters perform songs which might sound traditional, but with lyrics that are an imaginative jumble of anything from beekeeping, soothsayers, marriage, water babies and the axis between love and bombs.
With bags of indie clout and an ex-member of Kenickie in their ranks, Jennie, Cath, Liz and Marie - not actually sisters by blood, but four friends from Newcastle - play Beetham’s Heron Corn Mill on Saturday, August 30 (7pm).
Tickets on 015395-64271 or email info@heronmill.org.
