INTERNATIONAL jazz legends Courtney Pine and Dennis Rollins will headline the fourth Lancaster Jazz Festival this month (September 18-21).
Courtney Pine will open the festival at the Dukes with his critically acclaimed ‘House of Legends’ set.
It will be the second time the iconic saxophonist has headlined the festival, having appeared in 2008.

The remarkable Dennis Rollins’ Velocity Trio will take centre stage on Saturday as they bring their fusion of trombone, Hammond Organ and drums.
Lancaster Brewery will host the Youth Jazz Stage featuring Jazzwise’s ‘One to Watch 2014’, Tom Green and his septet. followed by Zeitgeist and the Lancaster Royal Grammar School Big Band.
The winners of this year’s Jazz North Introduces, Jam Experiment, who can count BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year, Alex Bone, among their ranks, will then close the show.
The Robert Gillow will be hosting Jazz Breakfasts, with audiences invited to enjoy their breakfast with some live local jazz music.
Finally, The Hall, will be the venue for the conclusion of this year’s festival with an entire afternoon of jazz on Sunday.
