Lancaster’s Haffner Orchestra opens its new season on Saturday, November 15, joining forces with the Lancaster Singers to perform the wonderful Haydn’s Mass in Time of War in the Great Hall at Lancaster University. The Haffner is also recruiting a new conductor. Natalia Luis-Bassa retired in June, after ten very successful years. Natalia has secured the post of principal conductor at Wellington College, Berkshire, which she will take on in addition to her role as Professor of Music at London’s Royal College of Music. Meanwhile, guest conductors Justin Doyle, Marco Fanti, and Bob Chasey pick up the baton.
