A CRITICALLY-ACCLAIMED chamber choir will open its new season with a concert in Keswick.
Cumbria's Wordsworth Singers will return to St John's Church, Keswick, on October 18, to open a new season with a programme of joyous I6th Century English sacred music.
This will include John Sheppard's Missa Cantate, Gloria Laus et Honor by Christopher Tye and works by John Taverner and Hugh Aston.
The concert will be conducted by music director, Mark Hindley, and the guest soloist will be lutenist, Alex McCartney, who has worked with artists such as Emma Kirkby, the English Concert and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
He will play music by John Dowland and Anthony Holborne.
