AN ARTIST whose tools have included a hairdryer, heat gun and domestic hotplate will exhibit her work at the Heron Theatre, Beetham.

Sue Tyldesley, of Carnforth, has worked with wax and taught encaustic art for several years, and hopes to pass on her skills.

She loves using different surfaces - not just card, but canvas, fabrics, papers, glass and copper.

While most of her work comprises pictures and cards, she also works with textiles and stitching and has developed a range of wax decorated jewellery.

The images she creates usually comprise flowers and enchanted landscapes, or are abstract.

The exhibition can be viewed between 10am and noon every Tuesday and Friday, and for 45 minutes before stage and film performances, until November 7 at the Stanley Street venue.
