GRANGE and District Amateur Operatic Society's talented youth section is in pantomime mode staging Sleeping Beauty at the Victoria Hall, tomorrow night (Friday, December 4, 7.30pm) with 2.30pm afternoon performances on Saturday and Sunday.

The talented youngsters take centre stage in an extremely funny, romantic, and a little bit scary story, of the princess who pricks her finger while using a spinning wheel. Instead of dying, she sleeps, along with the whole ‘court’ until awakened by a handsome prince - after he has cut down the dense forest that has grown around the castle of the princess, during her prolonged sleep.

The 12-year-old Princess is played by Katie Gregory; four years later, when she reaches the age of 16, Lucia Harrington takes over the role.

The Prince is played by Katie Richardson; Dame Dottie Dettol by Murray Adams, Amy Shepherd is Muddles, the funny guy; and the comedy duo of Fetch and Carrie is courtesy of Mollie Shires and Max Burrow.

The 30-strong cast also includes Molly Cowley as the Witch; Chloe Owens, the Fairy; the King is played by Elisia Carter, and Jessica Walmsley takes the part of the Queen.

Tickets are available on 015395-34098 or from Grange Library.
