POPULAR Kendalian entertainer Steven Hall is on the bill for a fabulous fundraising variety show.
A Grand Night Out for Alzheimer’s Research is being staged at Lancaster Grand Theatre on Saturday, January 31 (7.30pm), to help launch a fundraising campaign to support a research group at Lancaster University that has developed a drug with the potential to stop Alzheimer’s disease in its tracks. The drug blocks the formation of ‘senile plaques’ which are found in the brains of those with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
The 2011 Britain’s Got Talent finalist will be joined by London comedienne Pam Ford, singer songwriter Amy-Jo Clough, magician Kevin Cunliffe, musician Pete Lashley, Ludus Dance, Aurora band, and Holly Johnstone from BBC One’s Tumble, along with other acts.
Every penny from ticket sales goes straight to the laboratory to fund the development of the drug.
