A GOLDEN Buddha is in the spotlight at Grange-over-Sands this week in one of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s greatest musicals.
Grange and District Amateur Operatic Society stage The King and I until Saturday (March 7), transforming the town's Victoria Hall into the 19th Century kingdom of Siam.
The King is played by Steve Low with Samantha Grundy as Anna.
Performances start at 7.30pm with a 2.30pm matinee on Saturday.
