HERON Theatre at Beetham plays host to jazz, Dixieland and hot 1920s music supremos, Café Society, on Saturday (April 18, 7.30pm). The four-piece band take audiences on a musical meander down memory lane, with jazz standards, some unusual, rarely heard, tunes, plus pieces from the Charleston era, in addition to tributes to such stars as Al Jolson, Noel Coward and even George Formby.
