BURNESIDE Amateur Theatrical Society and director Gordon Lawson (pictured) are well known for staging inventive productions - and this week's 1984 promises to be its best yet.
Running from tonight (Thursday) until Saturday (7.30pm), BATS bring Matthew Dunster's theatrical adaptation of George Orwell’s totalitarian state to The Bryce stage, with a innovative set, recorded video inserts, projection and lighting effects. Simon Yaxley is the voice of Big Brother.
