DALEMAIN, near Penrith, is staging an exhibition that celebrates the people of the Ullswater valley born between 1918-1939. Artists Gina Farncombe, Julia Stanton and Beatrice Hasell-McCosh have been busy painting the people and their history, pupils at Patterdale School have also been creatively involved and award-winning cameraman Matt Sharman has been compiling visual histories of the subjects.
Faces of Ullswater runs from July 5-30. Open 10am-4pm.
