AWARD-winning folk duo O'Hooley & Tidow will be visiting Ulverston Sports Club as part of their Summat’s Brewin’ Micro Tour on September 4.
Yorkshire pair Belinda O’Hooley and Heidi Tidow will be travelling the land on Birgitte - their trusty old camper van - to play 30 micro gigs in 30 real ale venues.
The ‘Best Duo’ winners at this year’s BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards will perform a new show of contemporary and traditional drinking songs in celebration of real ale, real music and real people in really intimate venues.
The tour coincides with the release of a micro album of the same name.
Summat’s Brewin’ is a collection of traditional, contemporary and self-penned drinking songs that explore society’s fascination with drink, drinking and of course the real ale revolution.
This is a limited edition album of only 1,000 signed copies and is exclusively available during the Summat’s Brewin’ Micro Tour and as a pre-order to mailing list subscribers.
One of the most exciting acts on the contemporary folk scene today. O’Hooley and Tidow are accomplished interpreters of everything from Massive Attack to traditional Irish ballads, but it's their own boundless songwriting and exquisite harmonies that truly shine.
