THE legendary King Pleasure and The Biscuit Boys will take to the stage at the Platform in Morecambe on Friday with their breathtaking mix of 1940s Kansas City jazz and blues.

The band has been on the road for three decades playing every European country as well as touring the USA, Russia and the Middle East.

In that time they’ve also clocked up more than 50 TV appearances (including, somewhat bizarrely, five episodes of Teletubbies) and 75 radio broadcasts, firmly establishing themselves as the Kings of Swing.

Expect musicianship and a riveting stage performance from the most authentic rhythm and blues band ever to come from outside the USA.

The main man, King Pleasure, is unique. He sings, he romps, he roars, he relentlessly drives the band forward and clearly has such a ball when he does it.

Bands are rarely blessed with such a huge personality and the bonus comes with his sensational tenor sax playing.

Tickets are available online at www.lancaster.gov.uk/platform-tickets, over the phone on 01524 582803 and from the Visitor Information Centres at the Platform in Morecambe and The Storey in Lancaster.
