A LIVERPOOL born rising-star in country music is to play in Cumbria as part of his forthcoming tour in September.

Nathan Carter will play a date at The Forum in Barrow, as he travels the country promoting his music to a wider audience.

It’s been a successful year so far for Carter. Following the release of his 2012 album Wagon Wheel, which charted at number 3 in the Irish Album Chart, he now celebrates his latest album “Stayin Up All Night’, which climbed the Irish Album Charts straight to the number 1 spot, beating artists like Beyoncé and Drake.

Growing up in a house where Country and Western music filled the air, Nathan was exposed to classic songs of Johnny Cash, Don Williams and Dolly Parton.

From the age of 4 years old Nathan was learning to play guitar, piano and accordion, which all play a part in his live show.

Nathan was also head chorister in the Liverpool Boys choir, where he toured the world and even performed in front of the Pope in Rome.

Along with his six man band, the country superstar kicks off his tour at the Guildford G Live on May 23rd.
