THE next instalment of Kendal Jazz Club's monthly night at Hawkshead Brewery will see yet another international star grace the Lakes.
Following sold-out shows at the the club's previous two nights, the gig on November 8 marks the three-in-a-row for big names performing.
This third offering will be American tenor saxophonist Harry Allen, backed by the Tom Kincaid Trio, who are often touted as the best piano/bass/drums unit in the UK.
Renowned for his tone, imagination and technique, Allen's profile in the UK is hindered only by the fact that he seldom visits.
This makes his appearance at the club all the more special, as the organisers hope to make it a hat-trick of sold out shows as well.
Harry Allen has over thirty recordings to his name. Three of Harry's albums have won Gold Disc Awards from Japan's Swing Journal Magazine.
His album 'Tenors Anyone?' was awarded both the Gold Disc Award and the New Star Award.
Born in Washington D.C. in 1966, and was raised in Los Angeles, and Burrillville, Harry has performed at jazz festivals and clubs worldwide, frequently touring the United States, Europe and Asia.
