KENDAL South Choir’s next concert features a selection of works by Benjamin Britten, including Rejoice in the Lamb based on Christopher Smart’s poem Jubilate Agno. Staged at Kendal's St Thomas’s Church, on Saturday, November 25 (7.30pm), also in the popular choir's programme is the seasonal favourite A Ceremony of Carols. Usually performed by women’s voices only, this arrangement is for four part choir with organ and harp accompaniment. The remainder of the evening comprises Britten’s Festival Te Deum and Jubilate Deo. Under the expert direction of Don Gillthorpe, the choir will be accompanied by AnnaKate Pearson on harp and Adrian Self on the organ. Tickets are available from Made in Cumbria, Kendal, choir members or at the door.
