A NEW film written by one of the world's best known British playwrights is being screened at Kendal's Brewery Arts Centre on Thursday, January 25 (8.15pm).
Visualise Films' Last Laugh is a classic northern comedy penned by John Godber, which centres on Martin, a man who has failed in many areas of his life, as a screenwriter, as a son, husband and father. Most of his misery has been self-inflicted and partly brought on by his brief affair with an attractive and glamorous film agent. Described as part Withnail And I, part Billy Elliot, and directed by Daniel Coll, the film stars Toyah Wilcox, Nick Figgis, Victoria Ekanoye, Jane Thornton and Amy Thompson.
Box office 01539-725133.
