PRO Nobis Singers are joined by the highly regarded soloist bass voice Jonathan Millican and a string orchestra for Summer Serenade at St Mark’s Church, Natland, on Saturday, June 23 (7.30pm). Under musical director Clive Walkley, the main work on the programme will be Vaughan William’s Five Mystical Songs. The rest will feature folk song arrangements and a wide range of choral music, including a new work especially written for the choir by Adrian Self, organist of Cartmel Priory.
An invited string orchestra will play short pieces by Hubert Parry and William Walton. Programmes are available from Northern Lights Stained Glass, Blackhall Yard, Kendal.
