ONE of the region's leading sopranos, Emily Robinson, performs Schubert's Winterreise on Tuesday, July 31 (8pm) in the popular Music for a Summer Evening's 51st season of concerts at Hawkshead Parish Church. Meanwhile, the next Tuesday concert is on July 17 (8pm) courtesy of the Lancaster Klezmer Trio bursting with celebrational music to get the feet tapping followed on July 24 by Strings Attached, featuring highly regarded musicians Charles Edmondson and Barbara Tune. The season continues on Tuesday, August 7, with a Lake District Summer Music festival concert performed by the award-winning New String Trio, and concludes on Saturday, August 11 with the superb harmonies of Colne Orpheus Glee Union.
