THE streets of Kendal were packed out with people eager to enjoy the international arts festival Mintfest.

The town turned into a world of pure imagination with anything and everything from artist Richard Dedomenici making an igloo out of Kendal Mint Cake in K Village to the Elvis Cleaning Co road sweeping Stricklandgate while singing Hound Dog.

Laughter, song and dance could be witnessed throughout the auld grey town, as entertainment of all shapes and sizes took over.

Acts such as Circus Ronaldo proved a hit in Abbot Hall Park, Kirkland, returning to the festival for the first time since 2009 with a new comedy show Amortale.

At Noble’s Rest Park there was the Fire Village Royale, with its carnival atmosphere, and The Brewery Arts Centre featured live music and theatre in its gardens.
