ROCK outfit Out For Tomorrow, whose red-hot beats have been causing a stir at gigs across the UK, are heading to Barrow for a night of guitar-fuelled songs.

Born out of a collective, creative force in early 2010 the five piece rock band, began their life rehearsing in a garden shed somewhere in the depths of South West England.

Lead vocalist Ben Lumber said the boys had made a splash in Scotland since the release of their EP The Art of Speech and they are now hoping to crack the north of England's music scene.

They have already had the honour of sharing a stage with bands such as Deaf Havana, Devil Sold His Soul, Futures, Lower Than Atlantis And The Casino Brawl.

Ben said the band took their inspiration from a number of sources including Pink Floyd and Dire Straits.

"When I write it’s a very personal thing," Ben told me. “It’s normally about something that has happened to me, girls or stuff like that."

To achieve their own banging sound the guys have introduced a range of instruments which revellers would not normally expect to hear in a rock band including Caribbean drums.

They will be appearing at The Sanctuary in Barrow-in-Furness on September 15.
