AN EXCITING new company with a passion for technology has arrived in Kendal offering homeowners the chance to add that little something extra to their properties.
Charles Stock Consultancy is a Smart Home company that provides and installs the latest home technology that not only promises to make like easier but enhance the look of the property.
The company, which has just moved to The Pixel Mill Development on Appleby Road, was started by Windermere-born Charles Stock in 2005 and has built a reputation with its customers for installing discreet systems with hidden cabling and components.

Mr Stock, who has been working in the Audio Visual industry since he left Queen Katherine School in 1994, said: "We use speakers that can be plastered over, plasma televisions on lift mechanisms that disappear' into cupboards, and everything is controlled using a touchscreen or in-wall keypad. I get as much satisfaction from installing a one-room Home Cinema system, or a Multiroom Audio system, where each family member can listen to their favourite music in different rooms, as I do when we install whole-house control systems in huge houses with indoor swimming pools."
The success of the business in the past few months has led to Mr Stock expanding the company, with fellow Kendalians Tony Townson, a system designer/installer, and Jon Keegan, who will deal with sales enquiries and marketing, joining the team last year.
Commenting on the company's new base, Mr Stock added: "Many of our customers are in the South lakes, so the move made business sense, but it's also great to come back home."
