ASPIRING property tycoons in Cumbria have been invited to enter a competition to win a four-day mentoring session with one of Britain's most successful property entrepreneurs.
Nick Leslau, who is chairman and chief executive of the Prestbury Group, which owns real estate across the country worth approximately £3.5 billion, will be sharing his business acumen with the overall winner of the Bank of Scotland Corporate £30 million Search for Property Entrepreneurs.
Some of the Prestbury Group's most famous assets include Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Warwick Castle and Madame Tussauds and, with his vast experience, Mr Leslau is in the perfect position to advise up and coming entrepreneurs on what it takes to reach the top.

The search was launched on February 15 and so far the response has been encouraging and with £10 million of interest-free funding also up for grabs, hundreds more entrepreneurs are expected to enter before the closing date on June 9.
Commenting on the search, Mr Leslau said: "It's vital that we support and encourage property entrepreneurs in this country, which is why I'm delighted to be involved in this search. In the early stage of my career, an injection of £10 million would have made a huge difference when growing my business. I'd encourage any local property entrepreneur to enter the search and I can't wait to begin working alongside one of the businesses to see how I can help and what advice I can offer."
For the purpose of the competition, the UK has divided into three territories -Scotland and the North; Midlands and East Anglia; South and Wales.
In the first phase, short-listed applicants in each territory will be given the opportunity to present their business idea to the judging panel and explain why their business should receive the overall £10 million prize.
Each group of finalists will then be invited to a prestigious event in their territory and the three regional winners will then go forward to a national final in December where the bank's overall Property Entrepreneur of the Year will be named.
While Nick Leslau will lend his advice to the overall winner, the judging panel in Cumbria will feature two well known property entrepreneurs from the region, Stewart Milne, from Stewart Milne Group and Peter Jones, from Emerson Holdings, who will join senior representatives from Bank of Scotland Corporate, Property Week and Deloitte on the judging panel.
