A SOUTH Lakeland-based American scientist believes she has developed "the biggest step forward in family communications since the invention of language."
Helyn Connerr, a former researcher into nuclear medicine who now runs training and communications businesses in Staveley, said she has spent the past 11 years developing a way to offer parents and teachers an understanding of children's uniquely individual minds and learning needs.
Ms Connerr said the model explained that all children's learning styles were influenced by the position of Mercury at their birth, which "offers an in-depth insight into how a child's mind ticks", providing parents with a more natural way of communicating with them.
A SPECIAL fund set up to encourage to creation of better paid jobs in Kendal is being relaunched.
