With summer on its way, shops everywhere are opening their doors to the sun, exposing winter's damp corners, cobwebs and clutter, forcing many a store to take stock of the need for a refurb'.
One such retailer is successful fashion house Lakeland, which constantly strives to keep its stores bright, airy and up-to-date.
The Bowness store is being given a face lift, with an internal refit creating the perfect backdrop for their rails of design pieces and colourful, lightweight summer leathers.
And, as icing on the cake' for us locals, while the scaffolding is up, and the wet paint' signs are out, Lakeland is reducing prices in a fabulous sale, clearing existing stock ready for the work to begin.
The store is due to close on Bank Holiday Monday (May 5), reopening on May 17 to show off its polished wooden floors, and fresh new layout, with a whole area dedicated to the latest, and much sought after, Radley bags.
During its short closure, customers can browse through Lakeland's latest men's and women's summer fashion, handbags, luggage and accessories on-line at www.lakelandleather.co.uk
