Hospital trust appoints new chairman
THE University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust has appointed a new chairman.
Professor Eddie Kane, who lives in Silverdale, will hold the post for the next four years.
For the last two years he has been director of the Personality Disorder Institute at the University of Nottingham and before that he held a variety of senior management and Government advisory posts in the NHS and Department of Health.
He replaces Cathy Lubelska at the trust, which runs Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal, Furness General Hospital in Barrow and the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
