PUPILS helped the less fortunate of the town during their harvest festival.

Stramongate Primary School students packed up tins, packets and other non-perishable goods to hand them over to King’s Food Bank.

Co-ordinator of the charity, Sarah Williams, talked to the children during their assembly and provided a presentation on the bank.

She said: “The children definitely seemed interested. They had been talking about sharing and looking at the developed and under developed world, so it was good to explain that even in this country there are people that do not have food.”
