POLICE are appealing for information to help find a man who has been missing for a week.

Michael Bailey, 36, of Penrith was last seen by a friend at approximately 5.30pm on Friday, October 26.

Detectives believe Mr Bailey was in Penrith town centre at 5pm that day, wearing a light blue/green hoody with a white emblem on front, a charcoal grey tracksuit bottom and brown trainers.

Michael is described as white, approximately 6’ tall with a stocky build, clean shaven fair complexion blue eyes with a bald head.

Police said he was using his vehicle which was a Blue Vauxhall Corsa, from Friday, Wednesday 26, and October 31, when it was found on Main street in Glenridding.

Sergeant Stan Head, of Cumbria Police, said: “We and Michael’s family are becoming increasingly concerned for Michael’s welfare as there has been no contact from him over the past week.

“We are appealing for anyone who has seen or spoken to him since last week to contact us. You may have seen him driving his blue Vauxhall Corsa in the Penrith or Glenridding area?

“He may have visited your local business or bed and breakfast accommodation? If so we would like you to get in contact with us so we can help to trace Michael’s movements and where he could be.

“If Michael is reading this, then please get in touch so that we know you are safe, your family is worried about you.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Penrith Police on non-emergency number 101.
