A MAN has been charged with drink-driving after a car crashed into the Ship Inn, Sandside, in the early hours of Saturday.
Thirty residents were evacuated from nearby homes at around 2.36am after the collision ruptured a gas main.
47-year-old Robin May, of Silverdale Street, Arnside, will appear at South Lakeland Magistrates' Court on Monday, November 26.
