POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured by a minivan which mounted the kerb in High Bentham.
The incident happened at about 5.15pm on Wednesday, November 14, the 45-year-old was by The Black Bull pub at the junction of Station Road and Main Street.
A white minivan, believed to have a set of ladders on its roof, mounted the pavement as it rounded the corner from Main Street into Station Road.
PC Steve O'Brien said: “The male pedestrian had to step out of the way of the van but was caught a glancing blow as the van passed him. Fortunately he suffered only a very minor injury, but the van drove away along Station Road.”
Police are keen to speak with any witnesses or, in particular, the driver of the white van.
Anybody with any information is asked to contact PC O’Brien at Settle Police Office on 101.
