Dales pensioner sent to Crown Court over indecent child images

A 65-year-old Settle man was sent to crown court by Skipton magistrates on Friday charged with making thousands of indecent images of a child.
Andrew Victor Atack is charged with making more than 12,459 indecent photographs and moving video images of a child between February 24, 2010 and October 17, 2011, at his home in Bridge End Yard.
He also faces 21 further charges of making indecent images of a child, including at the most serious level, at various dates, again in Settle, between May, 2010 and August, 2011.
A further charge relates to the possession of 12,459 indecent photographs and video images between February 24, 2010 and October 18, 2011 in Settle.
A remaining seven charges relate to the possession of images and moving video images including at the highest level in Settle on various dates between February, 2010, and October, 2011.
The case was committed to Bradford Crown Court.
