VISITORS flocked to a South Lakeland town to begin the run-up to Christmas with a weekend of festive fun.
Kirkby Lonsdale's annual Christmas Fair attracted hundreds of people with traders, pubs and restaurants reporting buzzing business.
The highlight on both Saturday and Sunday was Santa's parade through the town centre.
Other attractions included a fun fair, choir, traditional pipe organ music and stiltwalkers.
Town council chairman Allan Muirhead described the weekend as 'a great success'.
